Noted British wine writer Oz Clarke, who has been writing on fine wine for more than two decades and is Great Britain’s most recognized wine critic, recently released a new book, 250 Best Wines 2012(available on Amazon). According to the publisher, the book includes “refreshing whites and fashionable roses…juicy, fruity gluggers to serious, spicy reds that are perfect partners for food. The guide includes sparkling wines, from Champagne to Prosecco and Cava and fizz from Australia, New Zealand and England, luscious pudding wines and ports and appetizing sherries.” Among these world-class 250, Clarke ranked Breaux Vineyards’ Viognier, from a 404 acre estate in Purcellville, VA, at Number 87.
