Mountfair Vineyard's 1st Annual Oyster Fest October 27, 2012

12 - 6pm

Join Mountfair Vineyard's 1st Annual Oyster Fest! Pepper Creek Shellfish will be bringing their food truck to the event, so there's no admission fee...you just pay them for what you get.
The menu is:
8 Raw Oysters $10
7 Oyster Rockefeller $10
(Fresh-shucked half-shell oysters, topped with hollandaise sauce (PC’s recipe), parmesan, bona fide bacon, spinach, and a hint of cayenne pepper)
7 Oyster Santa Fe  $10
(Fresh shucked half shell oysters, topped with a mild, creamy cheddar cheese sauce, red and green jalepenos, cumin, dusted lightly with buttered crumbs, paprika and parsley)
5 Oyster Imperial  $10
7 Fried Oysters $10
Oyster Po Boy with Old Bay Fries $10
15 steamed clams $10
2 large deviled clams $5
They'll have wine for sale, of course, plus the usual fridge items; crackers, cheese, salami, chocolate, tapenade. And, as always, you are welcome to bring your own food.
Mountfair discovered Pepper Creek Shellfish at the Virginia Wine Festival last month, where they created quite a buzz with their Oyster truck. Pepper Creek launched in 2004, raising clams and oysters directly from their waterfront farm at the mouth of Mobjack Bay in Mathews, Virginia. Check them out at www.peppercreekshellfish.com.

And, in addition to fabulous food, we're bringing back Emily Vareas and Bluestep!

Music by Bluestep 2 - 5pm

Previously referred as The Blue Notes and The Blue Steps, "Bluestep" was founded in 2010 by students in the Jazz Department at UVA.
